Over the past decade Mgahinga Community Development Organization has supported students from disadvantaged families in Kisoro district to access educational opportunities. The MCDO sponsorship program which started in the early 2000s has provided school fees and tuition support to both female and male students. As of December 2018, over 150 students have benefited from this flagship program. The beneficiaries of the MCDO sponsorship program have obtained bachelor's degrees and diplomas in Environmental Studies, Tourism, Law, Economics, Agriculture, Business Administration, Nursing, and many other professions.

The sponsorship program would not be possible without the generous support from donors and supporters in Sweden, the UK, USA, Andorra, and other countries. We are equally thankful to local education institutions such as Kisoro Vision School, Kabale University that continue to nurture and train MCDO supported students.
